Hewitsons Solicitors prepare to join in on the ACT!

As part of Hewitsons’ policy of investment in the communities in which it is based, a team of its 30 lawyers will be donning their distinctive red t-shirts and trainers in support of Addenbrookes Charitable Trust (ACT)

Hewitsons is supporting of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust’s (ACT) campaign to fund raise for the fitting out of a new children’s emergency ambulance.

For over 27 years the law firm has via its Charitable Trust not only organised but also has consistently participated in Chariots of Fire with this year being no exception. Indeed, each of the Hewitsons teams will be pulling out all the stops in order to achieve, or exceed, the set target of £300 in sponsorship per team for ACT as this year’s official charity.

With up to 380 teams anticipated to enter Chariots of Fire Hewitsons will once again join others and run the unique 1.7 miles course though the heart of the City.

One team captain and trustee of Hewitsons’ Charitable Trust, Colin Jones said: “Having myself run in Chariots every year since 1992, I am delighted to be involved once again and raise money for ACT’s new ambulance service which effectively provides an intensive care unit on wheels for young people.

“Addenbrooke’s is a lifeline for many children and their families and we are really pleased that Chariots of Fire will this year support ACT in providing a stage for local businesses, organisations, colleges and other supporters to join together and raise money for this deserving cause. The solidarity and team spirit during the morning of the race is wonderful and it’s pleasing to see the range of participants from our trainees and those in our veteran teams all taking part.”

The race starts and finishes on Queens’ Green on Sunday 22nd September. Team registrations close on Wednesday 18 September at 5pm unless all 380 teams have registered before that date.
