Businesses all over Cambridge are going head to head at this year's Chariots of Fire relay race to support Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT).
12 departments of doctors and nurses from across Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals will be amongst the 380 teams running the 1.7 mile course in relay format around the iconic Cambridge colleges, organised by Hewitsons Charitable Trust. All funds raised will help critically ill children reach Addenbrooke’s Hospital quicker through the provision of a brand new emergency ambulance service.
Join ACT’s supporters Cambridge Commodities, Fitzwilliam staff and fellows, Horizon Discovery and many more who are fundraising for the new emergency children’s ambulance service which will effectively provide an intensive care unit on wheels for transferring critically ill children from across the East of England.
Team Captain “Mayes to the Chariots” Barbara Mayes “Addenbrooke’s means so much to me and my whole family. Taking part in Chariots of Fire is our way of saying thank you”.
Rob Heuschkel, Divisional Director at Cambridge University Hospitals “We are delighted that Chariots of Fire have chosen to support the new emergency ambulance service at Addenbrooke’s. This will be a huge enabler for our new innovative Children’s Hospital for the East of England.”
