Emily Willdigg, Events Lead at ACT comments: “We are thrilled that Cliff will be joining us at Chariots of Fire to support his local Hospital charity. Helping out at events is a great way to have fun and give back to Addenbrooke’s and support a wonderful cause.”
All race participates in and around Cambridge are going head to head at this year’s fundraising event for a brand new emergency ambulance service at Addenbrooke’s which will effectively provide an intensive care unit on wheels for transferring critically ill children from across the East of England.
This years’ target of over £100,000 will see one dedicated ambulance on the road, specialised in providing the highest level of care for the region’s sickest children, a service not presently available in Cambridgeshire.
Wendy Von Niebel, Trustee of Hewitsons Charitable Trust said: “We are delighted that Cliff will be joining us on Queens’ Green on Sunday 22nd September and using his handyman skills to start the race.”
