Applications are now open for the 2026 Chariots of Fire official charity partner.
The chosen charity will be at the heart of the iconic Cambridge relay race, taking place on 20
September 2026, helping to raise vital funds and awareness.
The deadline to apply is 5pm on 5 December 2025.
Since it was founded by HCR Law in 1991, Chariots of Fire has raised £1.6m for local
causes, supporting a different charity each year.
This year’s event was once again organised by HCR Law, in partnership with running events
company RunThrough. It raised thousands of pounds for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s
Charity, helping to extend its reach and provide care for seriously ill children across the UK.
Nearly 300 teams of six runners took part, with hundreds more cheering them on from the
sidelines.
Chariots of Fire gives charities a unique platform to raise awareness and generate essential
funds through participation in the event.
Natalie Minott, Head of Cambridge Office at HCR Law, said: “It’s great to see Cambridge
come together for Chariots of Fire. The event always showcases the spirit and generosity of
the local community.
“We’re thrilled that this year’s race helped raise significant funds for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous
Children’s Charity. It’s an honour to offer this platform and support our charity partner to
make the most of this unique fundraising opportunity every year.
“The support we get from Cambridge colleges and event suppliers shows how much people
value the race. I’d encourage all local charities to apply to be next year’s charity partner.”
